Terms & Conditions

Last updated: January 2025 Β· Effective: January 2025

Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before using the GSBS Digital Tutor platform. These Terms govern your access to and use of all services provided by GSBS Solutions Ltd.

⚠️ Important Notice: GSBS Digital Tutor is a digital lesson tutoring platform designed to support learning. It does not replace conventional schooling or formal classroom education.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the GSBS Digital Tutor platform ('the Platform'), operated by GSBS Solutions Ltd ('we', 'our', 'us'), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform. Use of the Platform by any person constitutes acceptance of these Terms.

2. Platform Description

GSBS Digital Tutor is a digital educational supplement designed to support Nigerian primary and secondary school students in their academic studies. The Platform provides digitally-assisted lessons, practice quizzes, exam preparation tools, and adaptive learning features aligned with the Nigerian curriculum and the standards of WAEC, NECO, JAMB, and Common Entrance examination bodies.

3. Not a School β€” Educational Supplement Only

This Platform is a digital lesson tutoring platform designed to support learning. It does not replace conventional schooling or formal classroom education. Students are required to remain enrolled in and attend their registered educational institutions as mandated by Nigerian law. GSBS Digital Tutor is not a registered school, accredited college, or certified examination centre under any Nigerian educational authority.

4. Registered Users Only

Only registered users with verified accounts are permitted to access lesson content, quizzes, exam preparation materials, and the digital tutor. Sharing account credentials with unregistered individuals is strictly prohibited. Each user must maintain the confidentiality of their login details and is responsible for all activity conducted under their account. If you suspect unauthorised access to your account, you must notify us immediately at support@gsbstutor.com.

5. Platform ID

Upon successful registration and completion of the onboarding process, each user is assigned a unique Platform ID (e.g., GSBS-STU-XXXXXX). This Platform ID identifies the user within the system and is used for support, billing, and progress tracking purposes. Platform IDs are non-transferable and must not be shared.

6. User Eligibility

The Platform is designed for students aged 6 years and above. Users under the age of 13 must have verifiable parental or guardian consent prior to registration. Parents and guardians are fully responsible for ensuring the appropriate use of the Platform by minors in their care.

7. Teacher Roles and Responsibilities

Users designated as 'Teacher' on the Platform are granted access to the content preparation and review system. Teachers must be approved and onboarded by a Platform Administrator before gaining any content permissions. Once onboarded, teachers may be assigned by the Administrator to prepare lesson content in text format, video format, or both, in accordance with the Nigerian national curriculum. All lesson content prepared by teachers β€” whether written or video β€” must be submitted through the Platform's designated submission system for review by a Platform Administrator before it is made available to students. Teachers are strictly prohibited from directly uploading or publishing lesson content to the live student-facing Platform without prior Administrator approval. Teachers must ensure that all content they prepare is accurate, curriculum-aligned, age-appropriate, and free from plagiarism. Teachers must not include calculations, numerical problems, or mathematical content in lessons for theory-based subjects such as Government, Economics, History, Civic Education, Literature in English, and related humanities subjects. Misuse of teacher privileges, submission of inappropriate content, or violation of these responsibilities will result in immediate suspension of teacher access.

7a. Teacher Video Content

Where teachers are asked to prepare video lessons, such videos must be recorded in a professional and appropriate manner, must clearly explain the assigned topic in accordance with the Nigerian curriculum, must not contain any copyrighted material without proper authorisation, and must be submitted through the Platform's video submission workflow for Administrator review. Approved videos will be published to the Platform's Video Library for student access. GSBS Solutions Ltd reserves the right to reject, request revision of, or remove any video content that does not meet the Platform's quality standards.

8. Subscription Plans and Payments

The Free Plan is available indefinitely and provides access to English Language and Mathematics in text mode only. The Basic Plan (₦10,000 per month) and the Family Plan (₦25,000 per month) grant additional access as described on the Platform's pricing page. Subscriptions are billed on a monthly basis. Access is revoked upon non-payment. Refund decisions are at the sole discretion of GSBS Solutions Ltd.

9. Intellectual Property and Content Restrictions

All lesson content, quiz questions, exam preparation materials, digital tutor responses, and any other materials published on the Platform are the intellectual property of GSBS Solutions Ltd or are used under appropriate license. Users are expressly prohibited from: (a) reproducing, distributing, or publishing Platform content in any form without prior written permission; (b) creating derivative works based on Platform content; (c) reselling or commercialising any Platform content; (d) using automated tools to extract, scrape, or copy Platform content.

10. Digital Tutor Content

The digital tutoring responses generated by the Platform are supplementary educational aids and may occasionally contain errors. The Platform's curated lesson database is always the primary and authoritative source of learning content. Local language (Igbo, Yoruba, Hausa) lessons use only pre-recorded and verified stored content β€” no machine translation is used. The Platform makes no warranty that digital tutor responses are always accurate, complete, or up-to-date.

11. Prohibited Conduct

Users agree not to: share, sell, or transfer their account credentials or Platform ID; circumvent or attempt to bypass subscription restrictions; submit false, malicious, or spam content through the flagging system; use the Platform for any unlawful purpose; upload or transmit viruses, malware, or any harmful code; harass, abuse, or harm other users or members of staff; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Platform's systems or data.

12. Modifications to the Platform

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the Platform at any time, with or without notice. We may also amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, GSBS Solutions Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the Platform. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the Platform subscription in the three months preceding the relevant claim.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any dispute arising from or related to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Nigeria.
